About the Owner

The Dog Behavior Center was founded by Kim Courtney in 2005. Kim has worked with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and specializes in dog behavior problems. She is currently a Master’s Degree candidate in Psychology at Hunter College, where she has a Concentration in Animal Behavior and Conservation, and will soon receive the prestigious title of Associate Applied Animal Behaviorist from the Animal Behavior Society.

Prior to establishing the Dog Behavior Center, Kim worked as a lawyer in New York City for 10 years. She is dedicated to helping homeless dogs, and recently established the non-profit organization the Dog Behavior Foundation, which is funded in part by the Dog Behavior Center.
